And now the film!
The stand-up show “Chappatte on Stage,” which toured in 2024 and 2025 to sold-out audiences is now back as a film!
As he does every day, Patrick Chappatte must submit several cartoon ideas for the next day's newspaper. But on this particular day, somewhere between his first ideas and his first pencil strokes, his mind begins to wander, drifting off on a series of digressions. He moves between personal memories, a journey to Lebanon, the secrets of the creative process, and reflections on the place of humor in our polarized times.
This is the screen adaptation of the original stage show “Chappatte en Scène,” produced by Opus One, which toured in 2024 and 2025 to sold-out audiences. The show takes on a new life as a film directed by Richard Gérard and co-written with Patrick Chappatte. Animation by Jonathan Laskar. Running time: 45 minutes. Produced by Point Prod and RTS (Swiss Radio and Television), in co-production with Opus One and Good Story.
Premiere: Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 10:50 PM GMT+1 on RTS 1. Rebroadcasts: October 30 at 10:05 AM and November 2 at 5:10 PM on RTS 2.
